Valerie Morley wins the R.A. Fisher Prize

Valerie Morley won this year’s R.A. Fisher Prize for most outstanding PhD thesis paper, “Dynamics of molecular evolution in RNA virus populations depend on sudden versus gradual environmental change”(Morley and Turner, 2017), published in the journal Evolution! This is a great achievement and well deserved.  The R. A. Fisher Prize is awarded annually by the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE) for an outstanding Ph.D. dissertation paper published in the journal Evolution during the year.  The Fisher Prize is accompanied by a check for $1000, and is awarded at the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Evolution.  http://www.evolutionsociety.org/content/society-awards-and-prizes/the-ra-fisher-prize.html.  Please join us in congratulating Valerie on this outstanding accomplishment.
