April 21, 2015

Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate students Katherine Littrell and Franz Simon won graduate research fellowships from the US National Science Foundation (Littrell) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (Simon).

The NSF’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based graduate degrees at accredited US institutions.

The NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (PGS D) provides financial support to high-calibre students who are engaged in doctoral programs in the natural sciences or engineering.

Katherine Littrell is studying the ecological and evolutionary consequences of secondary contact in the Post Lab.

Franz Simon is studying the impact of temperature variation on population dynamics in the Vasseur Lab

Congratulations to Katherine and Franz!
