Dr. Moyer elected member of the American Elasmobranch Society

EEB Lecturer and Peabody Curatorial Affiliate Dr. Joshua Moyer has been elected by the membership of the American Elasmobranch Society (AES) to serve on its Executive Committee as the society’s Secretary. The AES is the world’s largest and oldest scientific society dedicated to the study of sharks and their relatives.

 

Dr. Moyer is also a co-author of the newly published second edition of the book Shark Biology and Conservation: Essentials for Educators, Students, and Enthusiasts (Johns Hopkins University Press). This edition has been updated to reflect much of the content in Moyer’s shark biology courses, which will be offered again this fall.
